The Welfare Support Unit is a workplace consisting of social workers, investigation assistants, administrators, senior social workers, and a unit manager.

Job Responsibilities

The work includes qualified investigative work and authority exercise. Our mission is to investigate how individuals can best receive help and support in order to achieve self-sufficiency, while we also assess their right to assistance according to applicable laws and regulations. The work also involves matching clients to interventions that provide support in job searching or to care/treatment for clients with rehabilitation needs. We aim to meet our clients regularly for follow-up and support in the effort to shorten their time with Welfare Support. Active work is required for them to achieve self-sufficiency as soon as possible.

Based on the above, the job responsibilities can be summarized as:

• To work based on individual assessments, planning, and interventions for the individual's opportunities/path to self-sufficiency.
• To investigate and process applications for financial assistance according to the Social Services Act.
• To collaborate internally and externally to offer professional social work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science/social pedagogy, or another academic degree that the employer deems equivalent and suitable for the role. Experience as a social worker with authority exercise and working with clients in the labor market area, such as the Employment Agency, municipal labor market unit, or equivalent is an advantage.

It is essential that you can express yourself well and nuanced in both speech and writing, and that you enjoy documenting and understand the importance of documentation. It is important that you have a clear client focus and the ability to create good meetings and conversations with our clients. Characteristics and abilities that are significant for the work include responsibility, quality awareness, independence, flexibility, clarity, and empathy.

The position requires a very good ability to prioritize and to collaborate internally and externally.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
